Mrs. Strickland quietly transitioned from Earth to Glory on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Highsmith Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Services to commemorate the legacy of Mrs. Strickland are being scheduled and will be as follows:

A Graveside Service will be held at Big Rockfish Presbyterian Cemetery, 4935 Marrco Drive, Hope Mills, North Carolina at 1:00 pm.
