Doris Katrina Johnson

Doris Katrina Johnson was born in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late Mr. Neill and Mrs. Ethel Boyd Johnson on January 4, 1937. Doris passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Doris is preceded in death by her parents Neill and Ethel Johnson.

Doris graduated from Peterson High School in Red Springs, NC. She went on to earn a degree in Education from Winston-Salem State University. Doris was an educator for Spartanburg, South Carolina; Rocky Mount, Virginia; and Robeson County, North Carolina School Systems for 40+ years until her retirement. Doris was a lifetime member of Panthersford Presbyterian Church that she loved dearly. She was Past-President of the Presbyterian Women, Moderator of the Birthday Club, member of the Bible Study Group, and a member of the Chancel Choir. Doris enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and worshiping with friends and family.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11am at Panthersford Presbyterian Church located at 10010 NC Hwy 211 West, Red Springs, NC with Rev. Clarence Page, Officiating 

Doris is survived by her sisters: Eva (Dave-deceased) of Fayetteville, NC, and Emily (John-deceased) of Maxton, NC; five nieces and nephews. Doris touched many lives and will be missed by all.
