Mary Bell Buie Obituary

Ms. Mary Bell Buie, known to everyone as “Maybell,” daughter of the late Mr. Dan McRae and the late Mrs. Mary Frances McRae. Mary Bell was born July 18, 1946 in Robeson County, North Carolina. God called her home to rest on Sunday, February 25, 2018.

She received her education through the Red Springs Public Schools and was a 1966 graduate of Red Springs High School. She was formerly employed by Clayson until her health failed.

Maybell loved everyone. She was a loving, caring, compassionate person who was loved by all. Anytime you seen her she would either greet you with a smile or a warm hug. Maybell was always either surrounded by or giving love. She never met any strangers and knew everyone!

Mary Bell was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church as a young child and later became a member of First Freewill Baptist Church when it was established. She attended until her health began to decline. She was a member of the Adult Choir, Senior Choir, and the Gospel Free Willets.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lacy Buie, Jr.; her parents, Dan and Mary McRae; her brothers, George, Dan Henry, Maurice, Eugene, and Leander McRae; a godson, Jawsie McKoy and five aunts and uncles.
