Mother Rosa Beamon Obituary

With tender hearts and compassionate hands, the LE Floyd Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of a gentle soul, Mrs. Rosa S. Beamon of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Mrs. Beamon quietly transitioned from Earth to Glory on Monday, February 2, 2026, at her home.

Services to commemorate the legacy of Mrs. Beamon are being scheduled and will be as follows:

Visitation: Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 12-1 pm at Bear Creek Baptist Missionary Association Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocomb St., Goldsboro, NC 27530.

Homegoing Celebration will be held at Bear Creek Baptist Missionary Association Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocomb St., Goldsboro, NC 27530 at 1pm.

The Beamon and connected families are receiving services of dignity and distinguished class from the L.E Floyd Funeral Home & Cremations of Red Springs, North Carolina

Mother Rosa Lee Swinson Beamon was born on December 13, 1932, in Goldsboro, NC, and departed this life on February 2, 2026, in Fayetteville, NC where she resided since 2016 after moving from living over 80 years in Goldsboro and Mt. Olive, NC. Mother Beamon was married to the late George Wesley Beamon and together they raised three children that are left to cherish her memory: Anita Beamon Freeman, Kinshasa, DRCongo in Central. Africa, Taleah Beamon, Fayetteville, NC and George A. Beamon (Jeanette), Charlotte, NC In addition to her children, she leaves behind her grandchildren, Ian Wesley Burr Beamon, Fayetteville, NC and Jewel Aniarose Freeman, Rockville, MD and one great-grandson Sebastian George Beamon who brought so much fun and joy to her life. Her remaining siblings are Thomas Swinson (Margaret) of Goldsboro. NC, Bobby Swinson of Washington, DC, Rematha Williams of Goldsboro. NC, Brenda Lee (Alfonso) of Dudley. NC and one sister-in-love Sarah Hipps of Alexandria, VA. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, Godchildren, special daughters and family friends to cherish her memory. Mother Beamon touched so many lives and she will.be dearly missed!
