Ms. Shirley Mae Carthen, 80 of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Red Springs, North Carolina transitioned from Earth to Glory on Friday, July 10, 2020 at WellStar Atlanta Medical Center South in East Point, Georgia. The family will receive family and friends at 209 Shannon Road Red Springs, North Carolina 28377. 

Funeral arrangements are as follow:

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the LE Floyd Chapel located at 115 Buie St. Red Springs, NC from 1:00-6:00 and the Homegoing Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 3pm at the St. Joseph Learning Center located at 305 E. 6th Ave. Red Springs, NC with burial to follow at Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery located at 551 Center Grove Church Rd. Red Springs, NC.
