Mr. Paul David Morrison, Jr., known to everyone as "David," son of Deacon Paul D. Morrison, Sr. and Mrs. Helen Gray Johnson Morrison was born July 31, 1951 in Red Springs, North Carolina. God called him home to rest on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

He received his education in the Public Schools of Robeson County and was a 1969 graduate of Red Springs Senior High School. David was a star football player while in high school and received a full scholarship to North Carolina Central University in Durham and after graduation he moved to Cleveland, Ohio. While there, he was employed with Warner Swaysey Machinery Company/ACME Machining Company before relocating back to North Carolina, to work in the family businesses. He worked at Morrison's Cleaner in Red Springs, and established cleaners in Wagram, Maxton, and Pembroke. Later, he relocated to Newport News, Virginia and was employed by ITT Institute and later in sales with Havertys Furniture and Suttle Motors. David really enjoyed fishing and traveled to New York on numerous occasions with his "fishing buddies" to include Bishop Rudolph Powell. David was happy where ever he could bring his fishing pole.

David grew up as a member of Johnson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and later became a member of First Free Will Baptist Church when it was established. He attended Colossian Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia until his health began to decline.

He was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Morrison.

A loving, straight-forward and jovial person, he leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife: Lori Prazniak Morrison of the home; daughter, Lyndsay K. Morrison of Hampton, Virginia; son, Nicholas Brandon Morrison of the home; grandson, Sean Neloms of Hampton, Virginia; parents, Deacon Paul D. Morrison, Sr., and Mrs. Helen Gray Johnson Morrison both of Red Springs, North Carolina; aunt, Mrs. Catherine Johnson of Rex, North Carolina; great aunt, Mrs. Maggie Johnson Devane of St. Pauls, North Carolina; father and mother-in-law, Mr. Albert and Mrs. Patricia Prazniak of Canton, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Jill Fitzsimmons of New York and Jane Harper of Kansas; two brothers-in-law, Mark Prazniak of Pennsylvania and David Prazniak of California; childhood close best friends/classmates, Gaston Patterson (Squeaky), Carter McKeithan, Cecil McPhaul, and the late Michael Coleman; special friends in Newport News, Mosley Robinson and wife April, Willie Mitchell (Boo Boo), Robert Johnson (his cousin), and many fishing buddies; special cousins, Rodrick McLinnahan, Jimmy McLinnahan and James McLinnahan a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, and the family dog Beau.
