Ray Charles Norris

Mr. Ray Charles Norris, the son of the late Mr. Walter Norris, Sr. and Mrs. Louise Galbreath Norris was born on March 5, 1961 in Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life to eternal rest on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina.

Ray attended Red Springs High School and graduated in the Class of 1980.

Funeral services are held at the St. Joseph Miracle Revival Center 4657 Daniel McLeod Rd. Red Springs, North Carolina with Apostle Anthony Buie, Officiating. Burial will follow immediately after service at the St. Joseph Memorial Garden.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louise Galbreath Norris; and his siblings; Evelyn Norris, Walter Norris, Jr., Loubertha (William) McLaughlin, William Norris, Ola Bell (Neal) Priest, Eula Mitchell, and Sylvester Norris.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers: James (Laura) Norris and John (Ella) Norris both of Red Springs, North Carolina; and Jimmy (Glenda) Norris of Lumberton, North Carolina. Four sisters: Lena (Charles) Ijames and Deloise McKoy both of Red Springs, North Carolina; Juanita (Michael) Wynters of Newport News, Virginia; and Betty Sanders of Fayetteville, North Carolina. One uncle, Samuel Norris of Baltimore, Maryland and a special nephew, Michael Norris (Lil’ Weed) of the home; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends
