Virginia Lee (McNeill) McKinnon

Mrs. Virginia Lee McNeill McKinnon was born on August 8, 1929 in Scotland County, North Carolina to the late Mr. George and Mrs. Esther Cromartie. She departed this earthly life to eternal rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James McKinnon and great grandson, Tykeem Floyd.

Mrs. Virginia was a member of St. James AME Zion Church and attended until her health failed. She really loved her Lord and Savior. She was an excellent and loving "baby sitter" for many children in the neighborhood.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: two daughters Hattie Black (Angus) of Red Springs, North Carolina and Peggy McMillan of St. Pauls, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Michael Black, Kevin Black, Wesley McMillan, Rosa McMillan, Virginia McMillan, and Sentel McMillan; 13 great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
