With tender hearts and compassionate hands, the LE Floyd Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of a gentle soul, Mr. William Currie McLean of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Mr. McLean quietly transitioned from Earth to Glory on Thursday, July 3, 2026, at Veterans Hospital, Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Services to commemorate the legacy of Mr. McLean are being scheduled and will be as follows:
Homegoing Celebration: Sunday, July 5, 2026, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 4650 Daniel McLeod Road, Red Springs, North Carolina at 6 pm.

The McLean and connected families are receiving services of dignity and distinguished class from the LE Floyd Funeral Home & Cremations of Red Springs, North Carolina.

Obituary:

William Currie McLean Jr. was born on June 27, 1953, to the late William and Annie Mae McLean. He peacefully departed this life on July 3, 2026. Junior or Dimp as He was affectionately called by friends and family graduated from Grays’s Creek High School class of 1972 and thereafter joined the United States Army. Junior met and married Doris Washington and to this Union 2 daughters whom he adored were born. He held many jobs such as with Puralator, Modern Moving & Storage and Coca-Cola Company, and always had a niche for mechinal work. He also received an Associate Degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College as a Certified Electrician. Junior was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Left to cherish his memories are his two daughters LaTasha (Fredrick) Murray and Malicia (Kelvin) Walker and their mother Doris Everett. Grandchildren: Kenya (Cesar), Gladisha, Dexter, Precious (Jared), Trinity and Reginald; six great grandchildren, two sisters Annie Anderson and Glenda (Obie) Worley. A special niece Chanda King and a host of nieces and nephew's cousins and friends. He will be missed by all who loved him.
